Guarantee Real Estate just reported that the number of homes for sale has increased and the number of days

the property is on the market has increased slightly year to date; the number of days on the market is the time it takes to

get a buyer, not when it actually closes escrow.  Our experience puts that number around 45 days.  Thus, 47 days

on the market plus 45 additional days to close escrow puts you a smidge over 3 months.

The article finishes by stating there will be a steady supply of distressed properties continuing onto

the market.  We still have around 20% of all houses with loans on them owing more than they’re worth.  And,

unemployment is still high….no job growth,  I would expect this to continue.
