For those of you who live in the Fresno or Clovis, CA area, there is a website that tries to help families determine
if they can qualify for assistance. They’re providing program information and a listing of the participating servicers (lenders and others).
Here’s a summary of the four programs:
1)Unemployment Mortgage Assistance – They will help make your mortgage payment if you’re currently
receiving unemployment benefits from the California Employment Development Department (EDD).
2) Mortgage Reinstatement Assistance Program – They provide funding to qualified homeowners to catch
up on back mortgage payments.
3) Principle Reduction Program – Those who have suffered financial hardship and owe more than their home
is worth will want to explore this program.
4) Transition Assistance Program – To help eligible homeowners who are undergoing a short sale or deed-in-lieu
of foreclosure program. They provide financial assistance to transition into affordable housing.
There are requirements to determine if your eligible. The website is easy to navigate, I’d encourage you to
give it a try…..it may help you save your house.
For a healthy economy getting families financially stable is important for our community. This website could
help the Fresno and Clovis real estate market by reducing the number of houses that are for sale and the number
that are upside down. If you’re in this place, I encourage to check this website you.
